YOUR DATA. YOUR COURSE.
Recruitment, with choice.
Applying for a role and joining our talent pool are separate decisions.
Your private profile
When you save a profile, Boatly stores your professional information, private name and contact fields, and any PDF CV you upload. You can save a profile without joining the talent pool. Files are delivered only through protected downloads, never as public asset links. Avoid including sensitive personal data, identity documents or information you do not need for recruitment.
Applying for a role
A live application shares your name, contacts, introduction and the PDF selected at submission with the verified publisher’s authorized team. An agency publisher may recruit for a named or confidential client. Ask the publisher about any onward sharing before you agree to it. The application does not add you to the talent pool. Example vacancies only save a draft on your device and send nothing.
Choosing to join the talent pool
We record your separate opt-in, the notice version and its timestamp. Only verified recruitment agencies with active access can search participating profiles. Search results show your professional summary, field, experience, city/country, languages, certificates and availability. Your name, private contact fields and PDF are withheld. Keep identifying details, contact information and links out of the searchable summary.
Approving an agency
You see the requesting agency and its message before choosing. Acceptance gives that organization’s authorized recruiters access to your name, contacts and current CV while your profile is visible and their access remains active. An agency subscription is access to discovery and candidate-approved introductions, rather than ownership of CV files. The pilot is manually approved and takes no payment.
Changing your mind
Hide your profile to leave search and revoke all further talent-pool access. Revoke an individual accepted introduction in Requests. Withdraw an application separately in Applications. A recipient may already have downloaded a document; Boatly cannot recall those copies. Contact that organization about its subsequent handling or deletion.
Availability and retention
Pool visibility has a limited period and requires a fresh opt-in to renew. Private profiles and submitted applications remain until you delete your candidate profile, withdraw an application or request deletion. Expiry limits discovery; it is not automatic deletion of all account data.
Replacing your CV removes the previous file unless a submitted application still uses it. Deleting your candidate profile removes its CV files, applications, contact requests and consent records. A minimal security audit records the account ID, action and time, without CV contents. Organization records remain separate from candidate-profile deletion.
Who operates recruiting
The configured operator and privacy contact appear above. Recruitment collection is blocked until those details are set. Sites sign-in or a configured Google connection provides identity; organization membership, review and access rules are checked separately. Boatly stores recruiting records and private files on the Site’s hosted infrastructure.
Your controls
Use My Boatly → Privacy to export your current candidate information or delete your candidate profile. For access, corrections, retention questions or a deletion request that also covers account and organization records, contact the configured privacy address.
